Upcoming Temporary Closure of Denmark Street in the Town of Diss to facilitate NCC kerb, signage and lining works (REF NO. STRO9990)

NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (STRO9990) affecting the B1077 Denmark Street/Shelfanger Road from its junction with U71343 Shelfanger Court for 200m southwards in the TOWN OF DISS to facilitate NCC kerb, signage and lining works.

The road will be temporarily closed (except for access) from 26th to 27th November 2023 for the duration of the works expected to be about 2 days within the period.

Alternative route is via: B1077 Denmark Street, A1066 Park Road/ Victoria Road/ Diss Road, A140 Scole Roundabout/ Scole Bypass/ Dickleburgh Bypass/ Ipswich Road, B1143 Station Road, B1134 Long Row/ Heath Road, B1077 Mile Road/ Short Green/ Mill Road/ Diss Road/ Church Road/ Diss Road/ Shelfanger Road.
(Scole, Diss, Pulham Market, Tibenham, Shelfanger, Dickleburgh and Rushall, Aslacton, Tivetshall, Burston and Shimpling, Winfarthing, Heywood, Gissing, Roydon).
NB: Access to: i) U7669 Market Hill / St Nicholas Street; and ii) C880 Roydon Road; up to the points of closure – Diversion signs will be in place.

If necessary, the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date of the Order.

Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.

In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance.
