Roydon Parish Council’s Big Green Week was a fantastic success, bringing our community together to celebrate and care for our local environment.

Event Highlights
The Bat Walk at Quaker Wood was a magical evening, giving residents a rare glimpse into the world of our local bats. Quaker Wood’s diverse habitats provided the perfect backdrop for learning and discovery.

Bird Song Evening at Heron Meadow delighted nature lovers with the beautiful chorus of local birdlife. The tranquil setting of Heron Meadow helped everyone connect with nature and each other.

We were also thrilled to welcome Frenze Beck to the programme this year. The site’s new circular walk and restored habitats made it a wonderful addition, thanks to the efforts of local councils and wildlife trusts.

Community Spirit and Activities
The week’s activities, including the litter pick and pop-up café at Roydon Village Hall, showed the true spirit of Roydon. Residents of all ages pitched in to keep our village tidy, enjoying refreshments and good company along the way.
