Our Parish Councillors have been hard at work this morning at the Village Hall, transforming the area around the village sign with new plants and fresh landscaping.

This marks a significant improvement over the previously charmless look, which was marred by weed killer use. The newly planted area now features a variety of vibrant plants including bergamots, geraniums, giant scabious (Cephalaria gigantea), and sanguisorbas. These plants are expected to grow to a decent height, ensuring they stand out beautifully behind the sign.

In addition to planting, we also cleared away a lot of dead foliage around the seat and bollards, giving the area a cleaner and more inviting appearance.

This project was made possible by a South Norfolk Pride in Place grant, which funded the plants. We are pleased to announce that there are still funds remaining from the grant. These will be used to purchase bulbs for autumn planting and to further enhance the verges opposite the church.
