NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (STRO9867) affecting the A1066 High Road / Stanley Road from its junction with the U76074 Bellrope Lane to its junction with the U76603 Denmark Lane in the PARISH OF ROYDON to facilitate Norfolk County Council surface dressing works.

The road will be temporarily closed (except for access) between 19:00 and 06:00 from 19th to 21st October 2023, only while signs indicating the closure are in place for the duration of the works expected to be about 3 days within the period.

Alternative route is via: A1066 Stanley Road/ Victoria Road, A140 Scole Bypass, A143 Old Bury Road, A143 Bury Road/Stanton Road, A1088 Thetford Road/Ixworth Road/ Thetford Road, A1066 Thetford Road/Diss Road/Thetford Road/The Street/Diss Road/Low Road/High Road (Rickinghall Superior, Hepworth, Harling, Scole, Diss, Ixworth Thorpe, Bardwell, Euston, Palgrave, Fakenham Magna, Garboldisham, Ixworth, North Lopham, Riddlesworth, Wattisfield, Botesdale, Rickinghall Inferior, Burgate, Stanton, Thrandeston, Bressingham, Brettenham, Stuston, South Lopham, Honington, Roydon, Wortham).

If necessary, the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date of the Order.

Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
